DIVISION OF RESEARCH MANAGEMENT AND LEARNING RESOURCES

2021

Quality and Alumni Management Division (BPKA) established the Research Management Unit (UPP) within UTMSPACE. Following this, in October 2019, the organisational structure of UTMSPACE underwent a revision, leading to the Research Management Unit (UPP) becoming one of the units under SPACE.

2021

Around 2021, a comprehensive organisational restructuring of UTMSPACE occurred. This restructuring resulted in the merger of the Research Management Unit with the Learning Resource Unit, subsequently renamed as the Research and Learning Resource Management Division (BPSP) under the Office of Academic Affairs at SPACE UTM.

2023

Up until 2023, the reorganization of UTMSPACE’s organizational structure is incorporated as an initiative spearheaded by the Development and Human Resources Office. This initiative involved the establishment of the Division of Research Management and Learning Resources, with a mission to consistently be prepared, assist, and collaborate in the administration of research and learning resources, aiming for an impact that strongly supports UTMSPACE.

Under the Research Management section, the establishment of the Potential Development Fund (PDF) aims to motivate UTMSPACE staff, encompassing both academic and non-academic members, to initiate research endeavors. This fund also seeks to offer initial support to staff interested in conducting research on subjects aligned with the main priorities of UTMSPACE. Furthermore, there are other allocated funds, such as the UTMSPACE Strategic Fund (USF), Expertise Reinforcement Fund, and Quick Win Fund, each with its own specific conditions and criteria.

In the Learning Resources section, it functions as a mini library catering to the needs of SPACE UTM. This section can serve as a centralised repository of information, materials, and tools that support learning, research, and publication efforts. Our mission is to formulate strategies that foster a culture of ongoing learning and skill development across the organisation and to acknowledge and incentivize employees actively participating in learning initiatives.
